  1. 1. The Role of Matrix Metalloproteinases in Leukocyte Transmigration in Murine Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis

    Författare :Smriti Agrawal; Tumörmikromiljö; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medicine human and vertebrates ; mouse; Multiple Sclerosis; Blood-brain barrier; MMP; Dystroglycan; EAE; Medicin människa och djur ;

    Sammanfattning : Murine experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) is a commonly used model in the investigation of the human disease multiple sclerosis (MS), a debilitating inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS). MS and EAE involve multiple steps, primarily, auto-antigenic leukocyte (mainly T-cells and macrophages) crossing the blood-brain barrier and later their invasion into the CNS where they degrade myelin basic protein, eventually resulting in axonal degradation and CNS inflammation. 2. 2. Mantle cell lymphoma strategies in primary treatment

    Författare :Alexandra Albertsson Lindblad; Tumörmikromiljö; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; mantle cell lymphoma; registry data; Clinical Trial; Phase I; Clinical Trial; Phase II; rituximab; bendamustine; lenalidomid; ibrutinib; ADCC; in vitro model; TP53 mutations; watchful waiting; mantle cell lymphoma; real-world data; lenalidomide; rituximab; bendamustin; ibrutinib; ADCC; TP53 mutation; CDKN2A; NGS; MIPI; Watchful waiting;

    Sammanfattning : Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is associated with poor prognosis due to an aggressive clinical course. Being a rare disease, there are few randomized trials in MCL and there is no defined golden standard in primary treatment. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Sex, hormonal factors and pancreatic cancer

    Författare :Gustav Andersson; Tumörmikromiljö; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pancreatic cancer; Sex; Anthropometry; Hormonal factors; Tamoxifen treatment;

    Sammanfattning : Pancreatic cancer represents three percent of all incident cancer cases in developed countries, but stands the 7th most common cause of cancer related death. Worldwide, pancreatic cancer is more common among men, however in Sweden, the incidence ratio between sexes is levelling. LÄS MER

  4. 4. A high-throughput pathology approach for further insight into the role of RBM3 as a biomarker of prognosis and chemotherapy response in human cancer

    Författare :Liv Ben Dror; Tumörmikromiljö; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Cancer incidence is increasing and it is the number one cause of death worldwide. Cancer is a highly heterogeneous disease and there is a great need for new early diagnostic, prognostic and treatment predictive biomarkers in order to improve patient outcomes. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The immune microenvironment of colorectal cancer - Relationship with survival, sidedness, and pre-diagnostic anthropometry

    Författare :Jonna Berntsson; Tumörmikromiljö; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Colorectal Cancer; T cells; B cells; PD-1; PD-L1; immune system; prognosis; anthropometry; obesity;

    Sammanfattning : Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer worldwide. Increasing evidence suggests that CRC should be considered a heterogeneous disease, with multiple differences between proximal and distal tumours. LÄS MER
