6. Organizational Trust : Discourse Analytical and Experimental Perspectives
Sammanfattning : This thesis employs a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods of linguistic analysis to investigate how business organizations use discourse as a strategic tool to build and repair stakeholders’ trust. In addition, the thesis makes a methodological contribution by developing a novel corpus annotation method that offers solutions to some of the most significant challenges involved in reliably identifying and quantifying evaluation. 7. Mellan scen och salong : En kultursociologisk analys av ungdomsteater
Sammanfattning : This dissertation analyzes youth theatre and how it fares in the interplay between three worlds: the audience of young students and their experiences, interests and values; the theatre as an institution with its ideals and modes of operation; and the school, with its selection and sorting mechanisms. It focuses on what happens when different conditions, relations, tensions and conflicts create meaning and significance. LÄS MER

9. New results about the approximation behavior of the greedy triangulation
Sammanfattning : In this paper it is shown that there is some constant c, such that for any polygon, with or without holes, with w concave vertices, the length of any greedy triangulation of the polygon is not longer than c x (w + 1) times the length of a minimum weight triangulation of the polygon (under the assumption that no three vertices lie on the same line). A low approximation constant is proved for interesting classes of polygons. LÄS MER
10. From Art Galleries to Terrain Modelling --- A Meandering Path through Computational Geometry
Sammanfattning : We give approximation and online algorithms as well as data structures for some well studied problems in computational geometry. The thesis is divided into three parts. In part one, we study problems related to guarding, exploring and searching geometric environments. LÄS MER
