21. On systems thinking in logistics management - A critical perspective
Sammanfattning : Systems thinking. Systems theory. The systems approach. All these concepts have in various guises been claimed as central to logistics management, since its dawning in the mid twentieth century. LÄS MER
22. Electrochemical Investigation of the Reaction Mechanism in Lithium-Oxygen Batteries
Sammanfattning : Lithium-oxygen batteries, also known as Lithium-air batteries, could possibly revolutionize energy storage as we know. By letting lithium react with ambient oxygen gas very large theoretical energy densities are possible. LÄS MER
23. Charge and Energy Transport in Disordered Organic Semiconductors
Sammanfattning : Improvement of the performance of organic disordered semiconductors (OSC) is driven by the understanding of the underlying charge transport mechanisms and systematic exploitation thereof. There exists a multitude of materials and material systems based on polymers and small molecules with promising performance for use in organic light emitting diodes, photovoltaics, organic field-effect transistors and thermoelectrics. 24. Numerical modeling of fluid flow and solute transport in rock fractures
Sammanfattning : This study focuses on numerical modeling of fluid flow and solute transport in rough-walled rock fractures and fracture-matrix systems, with the main aim to investigate the impacts of fracture surface roughness on flow and transport processes in rock fractures. Both 2D and 3D fracture models were built from laser-scanned surface tomography of a real granite rock sample, to consider realistic features of surface tomography and potential asperity contacts. 25. Effects of Coherence and Correlations on Transport through Nanostructures
Sammanfattning : This dissertation deals with the effects of coherence and correlations on transport through nanostructures. Simulations are mainly performed using the second order von Neumann approach, a method capable of dealing with these effects in the presence of higher order tunneling. LÄS MER
