1. Optimal Detectors for Transient Signal Families and Nonlinear Sensors Derivations and ApplicationsDetta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis
Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with detection of transient signal families and detectors in nonlinear static sensor systems. The detection problems are treated within the framework of likelihood ratio based binary hypothesis testing. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the evaluation of measurements of water vapor transport and sorption in wood. It mainly concerns measurements of the weight response of a sample after a step change in relative humidity. The thesis consists of an introduction and eight papers. The eight papers have the following contents: 1. LÄS MER
- Detta är en avhandling från Social Anthropology
Sammanfattning : This is a thesis about the genesis, use, and decline of burn-out as a social concept in Sweden. The burn-out concept is treated as social because its classification of people interacts with the people classified. As a consequence of this, burn-out is studied in a dynamic holistic way, as an entirely social system within Swedish society. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : In order to achieve better lightning protection and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, the needs for a proper grounding system and the knowledge of its transient behaviour become crucial. The present work is focused towards developing engineering models for transient analysis of grounding system with sufficient accuracy and simplicity for lightning studies. Sammanfattning : Intracellular Ca2+ transients, monitored by the calcium-sensitive dye, fluo-3, were studied during isometric twitches and tetani in intact single muscle fibres of the frog (sarcomere length, 2.2 mm; temperature, 2-5 or 10-12 ºC). The Ca2+ transient during twitch stimulation was very brief when compared with the isometric force. LÄS MER
