1. Investigations of New Biomimetic Transamination Systems and Inclusion Complexation with Cyclodextrins
Sammanfattning : Two new transamination systems are described. The first example is a dibenzo[a,d]- cycloheptene containing system, designed to accomplish a [1,3]-hydride transfer. Several catalysts have been examined for this purpose. tris-Pentafluorophenyl borane was found to be the most efficient catalyst. LÄS MER
2. Biocatalytic transamination with recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae: Challenges and opportunities
Sammanfattning : Chiral building blocks are important molecules for synthesis of fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Biocatalysis has gained in relevance over traditional organic methods for synthesis of chiral compounds, as reactions can be performed at high enantio-selectivity and purity with environmentally friendly, simple, and cheap methods. 3. Catalysis in Dynamic Systems: Control within Molecular Reaction Networks
Sammanfattning : Life as we know it is based on complex networks of biochemical reactions that constantly interact within large dynamic systems. The field of systems chemistry uses chemical models to study how reaction networks – and thereby life – function on a molecular level. LÄS MER
4. Amine Transaminases in Biocatalytic Amine Synthesis
Sammanfattning : The use of enzymes, nature´s own catalysts, both isolated or as whole cells to perform chemical transformations is called biocatalysis. As a complement to classical chemical catalysis, biocatalysis can be an environmentally friendly and more economical option in the production and synthesis of chemicals. LÄS MER
5. ω-Transaminase in Biocatalysis : Methods, Reactions and Engineering
Sammanfattning : Biocatalysis offers an alternative to classic chemistry by using enzymes, the protein catalysts of Nature, for production of fine chemicals. Evolution has created enzymes capable of catalysis at moderate temperature of a specific reaction in the presence of a plethora of compounds in the aqueous cell environment. LÄS MER
