From the perspective of the sociology of literature, this thesis focuses on publishing channels and possibilities, the authors’ and their works places in the literary value system and feed-back in the form of reviews, but also choice of language, theme, and genre. Because of this fact, such classifications are not always a reliable basis for describing the current distances between varieties, since diachronic differences and similarities do not automatically produce the same results as synchronic comparisons. 5. Geographic Distribution of Intra-specific Variation in Widespread Eurasian boreo-nemoral Woodland Herbs
Sammanfattning : Many woodland plant species have huge distribution areas covering large parts of the Eurasian continent including areas that were glaciated during the last glacial period. In the present thesis, the geographic distribution of variation within such species is investigated and discussed in relation to glacial survival and post-glacial migration, dispersal ability, breeding system and levels of gene-flow between populations and related species, and various methods to measure and analyse genetic variation.
