  1. 1. Kemistudenters föreställningar om entalpi och relaterade begrepp

    Författare :Tor Nilsson; Hans Niedderer; Kjell Waltersson; Roland Kjellander; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :enthalpy; thermodynamics; chemistry; chemistry education; conceptions; higher education; entalpi; termodynamik; kemi; kemididaktik; ämnesdidaktik; föreställningar; begrepp; begreppsbildning; högre utbildning; naturvetenskapernas och teknikens didaktik; naturvetenskapernas och teknikens didaktik;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to construct undergraduate chemistry students’ conceptions of enthalpy and its change, internal energy and its change, heat and work. Conceptions make it possible to identify students’ problems with the taught content. How students’ exam results are affected by qualitative/conceptual questions was also investigated. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The effect  of peroperative skin preparation on bacterial growth during cardiac surgery

    Författare :Karin Falk-Brynhildsen; Ulrica Nilsson; Bo Söderquist; Örjan Friberg; Tor Monsen; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; OR; plastic adhesive drape; microbial skin sealent; chlorhexidine; Vårdvetenskap; Nursing Science;

    Sammanfattning : Routine products are used and procedures are followed in order to prevent and minimize the bacterial contamination of the surgical wound, and thus reduce the risk of postoperative wound infections. The overall aim of this thesis was to investigate the effect of different preoperative skin preparation before cardiac surgery. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Mast cells in Hodgkin lymphoma : or 'What's a nice cell like you doing in a tumour like this?'

    Författare :Marie Fischer; Gunnar Nilsson; Gunilla Enblad; Tor Olofsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pathology; Hodgkin lymphoma; mast cells; CD30; CD30L; IL-9; CCL5; atopic dermatitis; psoriasis; IL-8; Patologi; Pathology; Patologi;

    Sammanfattning : Mast cell (MC) accumulation around tumours is an old observation gaining new relevance due to the multifaceted nature of MCs and their many roles in immunity, beyond allergy. Knowledge about tumour specific recruitment of, and interactions with, MCs is needed to unravel the function of their presence. LÄS MER

    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics Education Research; IR cameras; thermal cameras; thermodynamics; phase transition; heat transfer; Resources framework; Social semiotics; teacher education; chemistry education; visualization; Fysikdidaktik; kemididaktik; värmekamera; lärarutbildning; termodynamik; fasövergång; lärandesekvens; Socialsemiotik; Resursramverket; Physics with specialization in Physics Education; Fysik med inriktning mot fysikens didaktik;

    Sammanfattning : In this Licentiate thesis, framed by the Resources framework and Social semiotics, I explore how students and instructors, investigating thermal phenomena with IR cameras, come to conceptually and epistemologically frame the naturalistic settings they participate in. Additionally, I look at how they productively employ resources , what barriers they encounter while reasoning about the thermal phenomena and how the semiotic resources of the IR camera relate to the framing and resources employed in their investigations.
