1. Scalable Preservation, Reconstruction, and Querying of Databases in terms of Semantic Web Representations
Sammanfattning : This Thesis addresses how Semantic Web representations, in particular RDF, can enable flexible and scalable preservation, recreation, and querying of databases. An approach has been developed for selective scalable long-term archival of relational databases (RDBs) as RDF, implemented in the SAQ (Semantic Archive and Query) system. 2. Linkage maps in studies of genetic variation - examples from Beta vulgaris
Sammanfattning : Today, most studies of genetic variation utilise molecular markers, making it possible to detect variation at the DNA level. This has greatly facilitated studies of genetic variation in population and evolutionary genetics, systematics and transmission genetics. LÄS MER
3. Mapping and Merging Using Sound and Vision : Automatic Calibration and Map Fusion with Statistical Deformations
Sammanfattning : Over the last couple of years both cameras, audio and radio sensors have become cheaper and more common in our everyday lives. Such sensors can be used to create maps of where the sensors are positioned and the appearance of the surroundings. LÄS MER
4. Harmonic morphisms, Hermitian structures and symmetric spaces
Sammanfattning : A harmonic morphism is a map between two Riemannian manifolds with the property that its composition with a local harmonic function on the codomain is a local harmonic function on the domain. Such a map is automatically a harmonic map, satisfying an additional partial conformality condition called horizontal (weak) conformality. LÄS MER
5. Ditransitives in Swedish : A Usage-Based Study of the Double Object Construction and Semantically Equivalent Prepositional Object Constructions 1800–2016
Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the use of the Swedish double object construction (the DOC) and compares this with the use of three semantically equivalent prepositional object constructions (POCs): the till-POC, the åt-POC and the för-POC. The thesis has a diachronic perspective, investigating changes in the use of these four constructions between 1800 and 2016. LÄS MER
