    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Quality Paradigm; Quality Movement; Quality Revolution; Quality Management; QM; Total Quality Management; TQM; Business Excellence; Text Mining; Data Mining; Kvalitetsparadigm; Kvalitetsrörelsen; Kvalitetsteknik; Offensiv Kvalitetsutveckling; Text Mining; Data Mining;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis orbits around an examination of the formation of a quality paradigm. In this inquiry, the exploration and application of text mining have been used to provide new insights into quality as a paradigm. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Epidemiology of unintentional injuries in rural Vietnam

    Författare :Hoang Minh Hang; Peter Byass; Ton That Bach; Ruth Bonita; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Public health; unintentional injury; community-based; surveillance; Vietnam; Folkhälsomedicin; Public health medicine research areas; Folkhälsomedicinska forskningsområden; epidemiologi; Epidemiology;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this epidemiological study was to assess the incidence of unintentional non-fatal injuries, together with their determinants and consequences, in a defined Vietnamese population, thus providing a basis for future prevention. A one-year follow-up survey involved four quarterly cross-sectional household injury interviews during 2000. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Nanofiber networks, aerogels and biocomposites based on nanofibrillated cellulose from wood

    Författare :Houssine Sehaqui; Lars A. Berglund; Ton Peijs; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Nanofibrillated cellulose; nanopaper; nanofiber; biocomposites; aerogel; foam; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) from wood is an interesting material constituent of high strength and high aspect ratio, which easily forms networks through interfibril secondary bonding including hydrogen bonds. This has been exploited in preparation of new materials, which extend the range of properties for existing cellulosic materials. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Optical Methods for Tympanic Membrane Characterisation : Towards Objective Otoscopy in Otitis Media

    Författare :Mikael Sundberg; Tomas Strömberg; Ton van Leeuwen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Optical Methods; Spectroscopy; Surface Curvature; Monte Carlo; Tympanic Membrane; Otitis Media; Medical engineering; Medicinsk teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Otitis media, which is an upper respiratory tract infection that affect the middle ear, is the second most common disease in childhood, outnumbered in prevalence only by the common cold. Diagnosis of middle ear inflammation is often performed in the primary healthcare where the normal procedure involves anamnesis and physical examination of the tympanic membranes (TM) of the patient, usually be means of otoscopy. 5. 5. Qualifying Standpoints : Stance adverbs as a presentational device for managing the burden of proof

    Författare :Assimakis Tseronis; Ton van Haaften; Frans van Eemeren; Language and Rhetoric in Society; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Retorik; Rhetoric;

    Sammanfattning : A number of studies from pragmatics and discourse analysis have investigated the function of stance adverbs, such as clearly, fortunately, frankly, perhaps, and technically, when used to qualify utterances. Within the field of argumentation studies, scholars who have paid attention to these words have primarily focused on the so-called modal adverbs, and have not considered the insights that can be gained by treating the class of stance adverbs as the linguistic realisation of a certain move in an argumentative discussion.
