  1. 6. Logistic Time Requirements in Fast Sea Transportation Systems

    Författare :Thore E.W. Hagman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cycle time; high speed; terminal time; performance; sailing time; total time; fuel consumption; logistic time requirement; power demand;

    Sammanfattning : The dissertation deals with logistic time requirements in fast sea transportation systems and the benefit of the application of the total time definition. The transportation engineering approach, to create new transport systems with high effectiveness, high service levels and also with high resource utilisation, has to some extent gained acceptance in the transportation industry, but it has not been fully realised that the transport system and the traffic system are not identical and that by focusing on high performance of the traffic system no guarantee is given that the transport system will become effective. 2. 7. Real-Time Time Metrology Using Space Geodetic Methods

    Författare :Carsten Rieck; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; VLBI; Time metrology; UTC; TAI; time link combination; carrier phase; time transfer; real-time filtering; GNSS;

    Sammanfattning : Two main objectives in time and frequency metrology are the realization of the SI unit of time, and the construction and dissemination of atomic time scales based on the SI second. This thesis is mainly concerned with the latter of the two and has investigated the characteristics of space geodetic time and frequency comparison methods. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Keeping track of time : Daily time management, participation, and time-related interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders

    Författare :Birgitta Wennberg; Per A Gustafsson; Anette Kjellberg; Gunnel Janeslätt; Maria Larsson-Lund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ADHD; autonomy; ID; daily time management; intervention; occupational therapy; participation; time assistive devices; time processing ability;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to investigate daily time management (DTM) and time-related interventions aiming to enhance participation in everyday activities among school-age children and young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders.In study I, experiences of participation when using time assistive devices (TADs) in daily activities were investigated from the perspective of young adults (aged 17–37) with intellectual disabilities (ID) (n = 9), using semi structured interviews. 4. 9. Being in balance or stuck in time : exploring facets of time processing in relation to mental health

    Författare :Elisabeth Åström; Maria Grazia Carelli; Britt Wiberg; Marc Wittmann; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Time perspective; Time estimation; Anxiety; Anxiety disorder; Balanced time perspective; Mental health; Subjective well-being; Clinical Psychology; klinisk psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Time is central in human functioning and crucial for adaptive behavior. The aim of the current thesis was to investigate aspects of people’s subjective experience of time and their relationship with mental health, specifically anxiety and subjective well-being. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Strategic time awareness : implications of strategic thinking

    Författare :Henrik Friman; Peter Stevrin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Strategic time; strategic time awareness; strategic thinking and strategic management; Business Administration; företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Strategic time awareness (STA) is a research project that strives to gain new insights about the strategic thinking process and better understand time in the context of strategic management. The purpose of this study is to understand what managers think is important with regard to time in the process of strategic thinking. LÄS MER
