    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Demand response; Electricity use flexibility; Time-varying rate; Dynamic pricing; Price-based program; Time-of-use; Demand charge; Real-time pricing; Real-time feedback; Prosumer; Non-price signal; Non-price incentive; Engineering Science with specialization in industrial engineering and management; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot industriell teknik;

    Sammanfattning : With increased weather-dependent electricity production and electrification at the heart of the ongoing transition away from fossil fuels, peaks in electricity demand are set to increase and become increasingly difficult to meet, which threatens the functioning of the electric power systems that our society depends on. Time-varying electricity rates, which aim to incentivize electricity users to shift their electricity use in time, have been proposed as a key instrument in alleviating grid imbalances and bottlenecks. 2. 2. Residential Demand Response in the Context of European Union Energy Policy

    Författare :Pia Stoll; Fredrik Gröndahl; Nils Brandt; Lars Nordström; Will Kling; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Industrial Ecology; Industriell ekologi;

    Sammanfattning : In order to achieve energy security, reduce global warming and promote the vision of a common electricity market, the European Union (EU) is transforming the EU electricity grid from a large set of independent hierarchical national grids into one meshed EU-wide grid. For the first time in the history of the electric power industry, residential consumers are being integrated into the grid as active consumers and micro-generators of electricity. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Boosting behavioral change in residential electricity consumption : demand response programs and feedback

    Författare :Cajsa Bartusch; Lars Wester; Monica Odlare; Thomas Porathe; Mikael Larsson; Kajsa Ellegård; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : As part of realizing national and European climate ambitions, it is imperative to bring about increased energy efficiency and consumption flexibility in the residential sector of the Swedish power market. In addition to governmental policy instruments to this end, market-based measures play an important role in making behavioral change in domestic electricity use happen. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Ohmic Contacts for High Temperature Integrated Circuits in Silicon Carbide

    Författare :Katarina Smedfors; Carl-Mikael Zetterling; Niklas Rorsman; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Sammanfattning : In electrical devices and integrated circuits, ohmic contacts are necessary and a prerequisite for the current transport over the metal-semiconductor junctions. At the same time, a desired property of the ohmic contacts is to not add resistance or in other way disturb the performance. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Environmental Assessment of Building Products and Components in a Service Life Perspective

    Författare :Åsa Rimsjö; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a survey of different tools, used byenvironmental consultants in Sweden, for their recommendationsof building products and components in different constructionprojects. The goal was to identify possible improvements of thetools so that life cycle methodology could be used to a largerextent than today. LÄS MER
