  1. 1. Experimental studies on thrombosis and thrombolysis : With special reference to importance of lys-plasminogen, active site thrombin inhibitors and stable fish oil

    Författare :Liying Chen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Surgery; Thrombolysis; thrombosis; recombinant tissue-type plasminogen activator; lys- and glu-plasminogen; aspirin; thrombin inhibitors; platelets; superoxide dismutase; stable fish oil; Kirurgi; Surgery; Kirurgi; rättsmedicin; Forensic Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : Dissolution and prevention of thrombus in the atherosclerotic coronary artery have become an important part of treatment therapy of acute myocardial infarction. However, the currently most effective thrombolytic agent, recombinant tissue-type plasminogen activator (rt-PA), only elicits 80% recanalization of thrombotically occluded coronary arteries and early occlusion occurs in about 40% of successfullyrecanalized vessels.     Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medicine; Acute myocardial infarction; Thrombolysis; Troponin; Electrocardiography; Natriuretic peptide; Prognosis; Prehospital thrombolysis; Treatment delay; Mortality; Registry; Clinical trial; Medicin; Dermatology and venerology; clinical genetics; internal medicine; Dermatologi och venerologi; klinisk genetik; invärtesmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : We evaluated, in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated with thrombolytics, admission Troponin T (tnT), ST-segment resolution and admission N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) for early risk stratification as well as time delays and outcome in real life patients according to prehospital or in-hospital thrombolytic treatment. Also, baseline characteristics, treatments and outcome in patients enrolled in the ASSENT-2 trial in Sweden and in patients not enrolled were evaluated. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Thrombolysis in vascular surgery

    Författare :Linn Smith; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Background and aims: Thrombolysis is in common use in the treatment of acute forms of vascular disease. It may be used both systemically and locally, in the latter case through an endovascular approach, socalled catheter-directed thrombolysis. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Stroke thrombolysis on equal terms? : implementation and ADL outcome

    Författare :Anna Stecksén; Erik Rosendahl; Lillemor Lundin-Olsson; Mattias Hedlund; Per Wester; Anna-Karin Welmer; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :stroke; reperfusion; thrombolytic therapy; registries; multivariate analysis; healthcare disparities; female; educational status; Sweden;

    Sammanfattning : Stroke thrombolysis is a method for restoring cerebral blood flow after ischemic stroke, with high priority in the Swedish national guidelines. implementation of stroke thrombolysis in Swedish routine stroke care has shown marked differences between demographic groups, hospital types, and regions. 5. 5. Ultrasound-enhanced Fibrinolysis Pro-fibrinolytic and Non-beneficial Effects Of Ultrasound Exposure

    Författare :Bjarne Madsen-Härdig; Kardiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Kardiovaskulära systemet; Thrombolysis; Cardiovascular system; Fibrinolysis; Ultrasound;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to further clarify the pro-fibrinolytic effects, and to explore the possible non-beneficial effects in ischemic organs, during exposure to pulsed ultrasound. This was accomplished by studies of the effects of different intensities of pulsed ultrasound exposure on the fibrinolytic properties of streptokinase and reteplase. LÄS MER
