Det som står i fokus är 2011 års gymnasiereform, som tolkas mot bakgrund av en genomgripande förändring av den globala och europeiska utbildningspolicydiskursen från och med millennieskiftet.    Sammanfattning : Written fiction is a cornerstone in upper secondary Swedish first language (L1) studies. However, in a time when international assessments in education create and maintain a focus on measurability, non-measurable aspects of literature teaching might not be given the same attention in the literature classroom. The aim is to examine the conditions under which literature discussions may help students to develop their reception of a commonly read text, and to examine whether, and how, the discussions may provide the students with opportunities to learn more about, or to develop specific attitudes or perspectives towards, literary reading in general.
