   Sammanfattning : The importance of aggregate structure and air voids distribution for asphalt mixture rutting and cracking performance has been well established on the basis of experience and is well documented in the literature. Past and current investigations are limited to assessment of performance based on macroscopic behavior due to the difficulty associated with the quantitative measurement and analysis of the internal structure of asphalt mixtures.    Sammanfattning : A project to construct a high-speed road deflection tester was initiated in the 1991. A mid-sized truck was used as a carrier for the first prototype. The results were promising and it was decided to build a full-size truck system. The new vehicle, based on a Scania R143 ML, was completed in 1997. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Competitive cross-country (XC) ski athletes (defined hereafter as XC skiers and biathletes combined) are vulnerable to developing various health-related symptoms and conditions due to several factors, such as high physiological and psychological demands, extreme competition and training environments, high training loads, demanding competition schedules, and frequent travel. On initiating this work, we (the author and supervisory team) were approached by the Swedish Ski Association (SSF) and the Swedish Biathlon Federation (SSSF) to investigate the relationships between training, racing, and health problems, with a specific focus on illnesses (rather than injuries), and an ultimate goal of improving future support practices and athletic performance.
