16. Advancing Nexus Approaches: insights from practice in support of their operationalisation
Sammanfattning : The last decade has seen the emergence of a new research theme - the study of the resources Nexus. The “Nexus” refers to considering the functioning of several systems simultaneously, as opposed to one, as the object of research. This perspective reasons that coherent decision-making needs to consider systems' interconnectedness. LÄS MER
17. Emergence and Dynamics of Circular Economy Ecosystem
Sammanfattning : The circular economy ecosystem (CEE) offers the potential to effectively manage the pressing issue of residual resources, encompassing waste and by-products that pose a challenge to our planet. Among various organizational forms, the ecosystem approach has emerged as the preferred method, fostering cross-industry collaboration to sustainably address residual resources. LÄS MER
18. Extreme environments - Design and human factors considerations
Sammanfattning : The starting point of this research is based on my experience at SICSA performing research and design for extreme environments, including orbital and lunar planetary facilities, disaster shelters, polar stations and offshore surface and submersible habitats. This thesis explores what aspects and issues of design and planning processes in extreme environments have to be addressed in a similar way and therefore may be used as a basis for further work toward PhD thesis to develop a methodological planning tool or matrix. Sammanfattning : Textile products are used by almost everybody throughout the world, fulfilling basic human needs such as keeping us warm and contributing to our social position. Every year the global textile industry delivers close to 100 million metric tonnes of new products to the market. LÄS MER
20. Roughest hour – approaches to ship hull fouling management
Sammanfattning : Submerged surfaces at sea are colonized by a high diversity of sessile (i.e. attached) life forms. As the merchant fleet capacity increases, responding to growth in demand for seaborne transport, so does the hull wetted surface area that is prone to colonization by these sessile organisms, i.
