  1. 16. Exploring self-efficacy in end-user programming : a feminist approach

    Författare :Lena Palmquist; Anna Croon Fors; Anders Broberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; end-user development; technological self-efficacy; gender HCI; interaction design; människa-datorinteraktion; människa-datorinteraktion;

    Sammanfattning : Digital services and devices are today more spread than ever, forming a basis for new innovations, even among ordinary people. And yet, producers of such services and devices are mostly men with programming skills. Women's participation in development and design of digital products is thus not yet as influential as that of men. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Early age properties of self-compacting concrete - Effects of fine aggregate and limestone filler

    Författare :Oskar Esping; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pore pressure; autogenous deformation; self-compacting concrete; plastic shrinkage; BET; specific surface area; rheology; limestone filler;

    Sammanfattning : Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a sensitive mix, strongly dependent on the composition and the characteristics of its constituents. It has to possess the incompatible properties of high flowability together with high segregation resistance, a balance made possible by the dispersing effect of water-reducing admixture combined with cohesiveness produced by a high concentration of fine particles. 3. 18. Life-stowing from a Digital Media Perspective : Past, Present and Future

    Författare :Alberto Frigo; Stina Bengtson; Jay David Bolter; Södertörns högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; life-stowing; tebahism; effortfull; life-logging; quantified self; selftracking; surveillance; sousveillance; archiving; syncretism; constructivist theory of perception; database aesthetics; Kritisk kulturteori; Critical and Cultural Theory;

    Sammanfattning : While both public opinion and scholars around the world are currently pointing out the danger of increasingly popular life-logging devices, this book articulates this debate by distinguishing between automatic and manual life-logging approaches. Since new definitions of life-logging have excluded the latter approach and have been mainly focused on effortless life-logging technologies such as Google Glass and Quantified Self applications in general, the second part of this thesis theoretically frames life-stowing. 4. 19. Designing for added pedagogical value : A design-based research study of teachers’ educational design with ICT

    Författare :Jörgen Holmberg; Uno Fors; Göran Fransson; Jo Tondeur; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; added pedagogical value; design-based research; design framework; educational design; educational design research; EFL; ICT; teacher practice; TPACK; Information Society; informationssamhället; Innovative Learning;

    Sammanfattning : In an increasingly digitized world teachers are expected to take on the role of educational designers and use ICT to design in ways that add pedagogical value to teaching and learning. This thesis adopts a design-based research (DBR) approach to: (a) explore and contribute to the educational design processes of teachers of English as a foreign language in their efforts to use ICT for added pedagogical value, (b) examine how ICT is used in educational designs to create/contribute to what the teachers and students describe as added value and (c) explore, problematize and refine DBR as a research approach. 5. 20. Educational technology for visualisation in upper secondary physics education : The case of GeoGebra

    Författare :Lorena Solvang; Jesper Haglund; Niklas Gericke; Ellen Karoline Henriksen; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Representational competence; physics education; GeoGebra; Pedagogiskt arbete; Educational Work;

    Sammanfattning : In order to contribute to our understanding of how technologies can be used to visualise physical phenomena in order to support teaching and learning of the phenomena at hand, this licentiate thesis explores the ways in which visual representations created with GeoGebra can be used in upper-secondary physics education. In addition, this thesis provides a new model that can be used to characterise students’ representational competence. LÄS MER
