  1. 1. Effects of surfactant adjuvants on plant leaf cuticle barrier properties

    Författare :Anton Fagerström; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :Adjuvant; Surfacant; Cuticle; Tebuconazole; Diffusion; Clivia miniata Regel leaf; Model wax; Phase diagram; Hydration; Eutectic melting; Crystalline domains; Softening; Wax film; Quartz Crystal Microbalance with dissipation QCM-D ; Differential Scanning Calorimetry DSC ; Small- and Wide-angle X-ray Diffraction SWAXD ;

    Sammanfattning : I avhandlingen undersöks växelverkan mellan det yttersta lagret på växters blad (cutikeln), aktiva substanser, och ämnen som tillsätts för att öka bekämpningsmedlens effekt, i detta fall vissa former av tensider. Barriären som hindrar upptag av främmande ämnen i växten sitter i cutikeln. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Development of Methods for the Analysis of Polar Compounds in Environmental Matrices using LC/UV and LC/MS

    Författare :Johanna Minten; Margaretha Adolfsson-Erici; Leif Kronberg; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Applied Environmental Science; tillämpad miljövetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, the awareness of environmentally hazardous compounds with polar and ionizable properties has intensified. Pharmaceuticals, the pesticide tebuconazole as well as the artificial sweetener sucralose are examples of such new, emerging, contaminants. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Genotoxic effects among Bolivian farmers exposed to mixtures of pesticides : population and in vitro based studies

    Författare :Jessika Ximena Barrón Cuenca; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Human exposure to pesticides has increased exponentially in recent decades, especially in low- and middle-income countries where regulations on the use of pesticides and personal protective equipment (PPE) are not fully controlled. Studies have shown that compared to the general population, people occupationally exposed to pesticides have a higher risk of developing acute and chronic adverse health effects, and increased risk of genotoxic damage and cancer.
