  1. 1. Läromedel i praktiken : Läromedelsbruk i religionskunskap på gymnasiet

    Författare :Tomas Widholm; Hans Nilsson; Anna Johnsson Harrie; Kjell O. Lejon; Geir Skeie; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Religious Education; Teaching materials; Use of teaching materials; Textbook; Secondary school; Teachers; Frame factors; Digital equipment; Classroom observations; Religionskunskap; Religionsdidaktik; Läromedel; Läromedelsbruk; Lärobok; Gymnasieskolan; Lärare; Ramfaktorer; Digitalisering; Klassrumsforskning;

    Sammanfattning : Syftet med avhandlingen är att undersöka läromedelsbruk i religionskunskap på den svenska gymnasieskolan. Studien argumenterar för en vid förståelse av vad som kan betraktas vara läromedel.Resultaten visar att lärare använder en mångfald av läromedel. Förutom läroboken används olika typer av texter. 2. 2. Undervisning med stöd av förproducerade material : Ett närmande av naturvetenskap i förskolan

    Författare :Elin Eriksson; Monika Vinterek; Annie-Maj Johansson; Sven Persson; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; teaching; learning; pre-produced teaching materials; preschool; early childhood education; natural science; “Science and Technology for All”;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to develop an understanding of the possibilities and challenges pre-produced teaching materials present to teachers and the learning opportunities children are offered in teaching that uses such materials. To do this a study of preschool teachers and children from three preschool departments in Sweden was carried out. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Contingency in high-school students’ reasoning about electrochemical cells : Opportunities for learning and teaching in school science

    Författare :Karim Hamza; Per-Olof Wickman; Gregory J. Kelly; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; electrochemistry; laboratory work; concept mapping; high-school; learning; teaching; pragmatism; practical epistemology analysis; contingency; discourse; misconceptions; alternative ideas; curricular materials; Subject didactics; Ämnesdidaktik; naturvetenskapsämnenas didaktik; Science Education;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis takes its departure from the extensive literature on students’ alternative ideas in science. Although describing students’ conceptual knowledge in many science areas, the literature offers little about how this knowledge enters into the science learning process. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Brain-based teaching : behavioral and neuro-cognitive evidence for the power of test-enhanced learning

    Författare :Carola Wiklund-Hörnqvist; Bert Jonsson; Lars Nyberg; Linnea Karlsson; Jeffrey D. Karpicke; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; learning; memory; memory processes; the testing effect; test-enhanced learning; retrieval practice; evidence-based teaching methods; neuro-cognitive processes; working memory; memory strength; semantic elaboration; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : A primary goal of education is the acquisition of durable knowledge which challenges the use of efficient pedagogical methods of how to best facilitate learning. Research in cognitive psychology has demonstrated that repeated testing during the learning phase improves performance on later retention tests compared to restudy of material. LÄS MER

  5. 5. From Tissue Engineering to Engineering Education Research: Designing in vitro cell microenvironments and undergraduate research experiences

    Författare :Patric Wallin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; teaching research nexus; community of practice; tissue engineering Undergraduate research experiences; cell microenvironments; cell migration; inquiry based learning; surface functionalization; chemotractant gradients; Microfluidics; situated cognition;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis looks at tissue engineering from two perspectives that are closely interconnected with each other: 1) Research in the discipline of tissue engineering that aims to advance our knowledge in the field, and 2) research on how students learn tissue engineering through undergraduate research.In the body, cells are constantly exposed to a concert of different signaling factors that steer their behavior.
