To study the effect of peripherally administered ghrelin on plasma levels of glucose, insulin, glucagon, orexin A (OXA), somatostatin and gastrin in rats and ghrelin, cholecystokinin (CCK), glucagonlike peptide-1 (GLP-1), peptide YY (PYY) and motilin in humans.
