  1. 6. Predictive Techniques and Methods for Decision Support in Situations with Poor Data Quality

    Författare :Rikard König; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Rule Extraction; Genetic Programming; Uncertainty estimation; Machine Learning; Artificial Neural Networks; Data Mining; Information Fusion; Information technology; Informationsteknik; Teknik; Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Today, decision support systems based on predictive modeling are becoming more common, since organizations often collect more data than decision makers can handle manually. Predictive models are used to find potentially valuable patterns in the data, or to predict the outcome of some event. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Design, Development, and Adoption of Ontology-Driven Clinical Software

    Författare :Marie Gustafsson; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Information technology; Informationsteknologi; Teknik; Technology; online communities;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses how ontology-driven applications can be designed and developed to support distributed clinical knowledge management in oral medicine, where geographically dispersed practitioners need to share practical clinical knowledge. A step in developing tools for knowledge management is representing knowledge in a machine-processable and sharable manner. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : A challenge for the clinical management of Parkinson's disease (PD) is the large within- and between-patient variability in symptom profiles as well as the emergence of motor complications which represent a significant source of disability in patients. This thesis deals with the development and evaluation of methods and systems for supporting the management of PD by using repeated measures, consisting of subjective assessments of symptoms and objective assessments of motor function through fine motor tests (spirography and tapping), collected by means of a telemetry touch screen device.
