  1. 11. Evaluating the performance of TEWA systems

    Författare :Fredrik Johansson; Göran Falkman; Lars Karlsson; Lars Niklasson; Martin Holmberg; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; air defense; information fusion; performance evaluation; threat evaluation; TEWA; weapon allocation; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Information technology; Informationsteknik; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Datalogi; Computer and Systems Science; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : It is in military engagements the task of the air defense to protect valuable assets such as air bases from being destroyed by hostile aircrafts and missiles. In order to fulfill this mission, the defenders are equipped with sensors and firing units. To infer whether a target is hostile and threatening or not is far from a trivial task. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Information Systems Actability : Understanding Information Technology as a Tool for Business Action and Communication

    Författare :Pär J. Ågerfalk; Göran Goldkuhl; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; information systems; information systems actability; Internet-based information systems; language action perspective; Information technology; Informationsteknologi;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation is devoted to a perspective from which IT-based information systems are conceived as information technological artefacts intended for business action and communication. The perspective has been made concrete through the concept of information systems actability, which is the main concept under scrutiny. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses a challenging problem: “how to let the visually impaired ‘see’ others emotions”. We, human beings, are heavily dependent on facial expressions to express ourselves. A smile shows that the person you are talking to is pleased, amused, relieved etc. LÄS MER

  4. 14. MaltParser -- An Architecture for Inductive Labeled Dependency Parsing

    Författare :Johan Hall; Joakim Nivre; Welf Löwe; Martin Volk; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dependency Parsing; Support Vector Machines; Machine Learning; Language technology; Språkteknologi; Computer and Information Sciences Computer Science; Data- och informationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis presents a software architecture for inductive labeled dependency parsing of unrestricted natural language text, which achieves a strict modularization of parsing algorithm, feature model and learning method such that these parameters can be varied independently. The architecture is based on the theoretical framework of inductive dependency parsing by Nivre \citeyear{nivre06c} and has been realized in MaltParser, a system that supports several parsing algorithms and learning methods, for which complex feature models can be defined in a special description language. 5. 15. Decision-making in the Requirements Engineering Process : A Human-centred Approach

    Författare :Beatrice Alenljung; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Information technology; Informationsteknik; Teknik; Technology; Computer science;

    Sammanfattning : Complex decision-making is a prominent aspect of requirements engineering and the need for improved decision support for requirements engineers has been identified by a number of authors. A first step toward better decision support in requirements engineering is to understand decision-makers’ complex decision situations. LÄS MER
