  1. 6. Working model and methods for balancing energy performance, cultural and architectural values in our built heritage

    Författare :Heidi Norrström; Michael Edén; Elena Mussinelli; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cultural historical and architectural values; supporting methods; balancing model; case study; legislation; energy efficiency; collaboration;

    Sammanfattning : About 40 per cent of the energy produced within the European Union is consumed in and by the residential and business sector, and the same applies to Sweden. Today’s necessary focus on the climate issue with the concomitant energy issue connected to greenhouse gas emissions has resulted in stringent energy requirements even for preservation work on historically important buildings. Sammanfattning : Walking has been shown to provide benefits for our health and also for the environment. Research has also shown that if the built environment is adapted for pedestrians, people walk more. However, there is a lack of qualitative research in architecture and urban design on walking at the micro (streetscape) scale. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Japanska rum – en diskussion kring tomhet och föränderlighet i traditionell och nutida japansk arkitektur

    Författare :Kristina Fridh; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Sammanfattning : Traditional and contemporary Japanese architecture is examined, with focus on the characteristics of emptiness and changeability, the point of departure being Japanese conceptions of space which are interpreted and described from a Western perspective. According to Japanese cultural tradition space is conceived as a subjective perception, a physical experience and a changeable process. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Geometry linking the art of building and the Universe: Geometric patterns on shells and grid shells

    Författare :Emil Adiels; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Sammanfattning : Buildings account for 40% of all energy use in European countries. The European Union (EU) therefore encourages member states to adopt Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) and implement energy-efficient practices during building design to minimize the energy use of buildings.
