1. Stressing Knowledge : Organisational closed-ness and knowledge acquisition under pressure
Sammanfattning : Organisations have been analytically conceptualised as being somewhat analogous to individuals for a long time. They have culture; they can learn; and they can behave in various odd ways. LÄS MER
2. Investigations on the Physico-Chemical Phenomena during Induration of a Magnetite Pellet
Sammanfattning : In the era of globalization with increasing environmental awareness, sustainable utilization of the available resources is a necessity; iron ores are no exception. Pelletization, being one of the increasingly practiced agglomeration techniques for the iron ore fines as well as other solid wastes from steel plants. LÄS MER
3. Experimental characterization and numerical modeling of compression perpendicular to the grain in wood and cross-laminated timber
Sammanfattning : Compression perpendicular to the grain (CPG) of wood is a typical loading situation in timber structures. It has been an extensively studied research topic for decades, due to the highly ductile behavior of wood under such loading, the large variations in mechanical properties, and the relevance of these properties in structural design. 4. Constructing and Commissioning HELIOS – A High Harmonic Generation Source for Pump-Probe Measurements with sub 50 fs Temporal Resolution : The Development of Experimental Equipment for Extreme Ultraviolet Spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents HELIOS, an in-house laboratory for time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy with extreme-ultraviolet (XUV) probe radiation. A wide span of pump wavelengths can be generated using commercial laser equipment while XUV probe radiation is generated via a high harmonic generation process in a noble gas delivering probe photons with energies between 20 eV and 72 eV. 5. Gene expression analysis of Tec family kinases in B- and T-lymphocytes
Sammanfattning : The microarray technology is a powerful tool used in many different research areas. The technique has been around for more than a decade and has revolutionized the molecular biology field. In this thesis the Affymetrix GeneChip® arrays were used to study the transcriptomes of Tec family kinase mutant mouse models. LÄS MER
