  1. 11. Hierarchical scheduling for predictable execution of real-time software components and legacy systems

    Författare :Rafia Inam; Mikael Sjödin; Jukka Mäki-Turja; Moris Behnam; Giuseppe Lipari; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; real-time systems; component integration and reuse; hierarchical scheduling; multicore; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation presents techniques to achieve predictable execution of coarse-grained software components and for preservation of temporal properties of components during their integration and reuse.The dissertation presents a novel concept runnable virtual node (RVN) which interaction with the environment is bounded both by a functional and a temporal interface, and the validity of its internal temporal behaviour is preserved when integrated with other components or when reused in a new environment. 2. 12. Parameterized Systems : Generalizing and Simplifying Automatic Verification

    Författare :Ahmed Rezine; Parosh Aziz Abdulla; Kedar Namjoshi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Parameterized systems; Automatic verification; Approximation; Regular model checking; Safety; Termination; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Datavetenskap; Computer Science;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we propose general and simple methods for automatic verification of parameterized systems. These are systems consisting of an arbitrary number of identical processes or components. The number of processes defines the size of the system. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Model-driven Alignment : Linking Business Strategy with Information Systems

    Författare :Constantinos Giannoulis; Jelena Zdravkovic; John Krogstie; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Alignment; Business; Strategy; Information; Systems; Requirements; IS; Enterprise; Models; Modeling; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Information technology (IT) is more pervasive than ever before, constituting a significant factor for performance and survival in the business arena. It is essential that IT within organizations understands what the Business needs in order to provide the necessary support and bring value, which is also true when IT is also the main value creator. Sammanfattning : The practice of developing information systems with the support of information systems development methods is not new. A vast number of systems development methods have been suggested over the years in an attempt to solve the problems a development organisation might encounter. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Sociotechnical system studies of the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from energy and transport systems

    Författare :Linda Olsson; Mats Söderström; Annelie Carlson; Magdalena Fallde; Elisabeth Wetterlund; Kes McCormick; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy systems; transport systems; greenhouse gas emissions; energy policy; transport policy; sociotechnical systems analysis; wicked problem; Energisystem; transportsystem; växthusgasutsläpp; energipolicy; transportpolicy; socioteknisk systemanalys; wicked problem;

    Sammanfattning : It is agreed that greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from energy and transport systems must be reduced. Technical means exist to reduce GHG emissions from these sources. However, these emission-reduction measures are not implemented to a high enough degree. LÄS MER
