    Sammanfattning : Stockholm, in just a few decades, was transformed from a largely medieval fortress town to a modern capital city. The street regulation which was carried out in Stockholm during the years 1625-1650 and which in the central parts of the city still exist as a recognizable pattern for streets and city blocks was an important part of this transformation.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation provides a descriptive account of the organization and activities of the carpenters' guild, as well as of the carpenter's trade, itself. Two problems are highlighted. A set of guild rules revised in 1454 was printed in 1604. It presupposed the existence of a normal, welldeveloped guild. LÄS MER
