16. Electron-Lattice Dynamics in pi-Conjugated Systems
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we explore in particular the dynamics of a special type of quasi-particle in pi-conjugated materials termed polaron, the origin of which is intimately related to the strong interactions between the electronic and the vibrational degrees of freedom within these systems. In order to conduct such studies with the particular focus of each appended paper, we simultaneously solve the time-dependent Schrödinger equation and the lattice equation of motion with a three-dimensional extension of the famous Su-Schrieffer-Heeger (SSH) model Hamiltonian. 17. Electron-lattice dynamics in π-conjugated systems
Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis concerns the dynamics in π-conjugated hydrocarbon systems. Due to the molecular bonding structure of these systems there exists a coupling between the electronic system and the phonons of the lattice. LÄS MER
18. När förskolan möter neurovetenskap : Kunskapsteoretiska möten i teori och i praktik
Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis in Early Childhood Education reports on encounters between the theories and practices of Swedish preschool and research-based neuroscience knowledge. Thus, this thesis concerns epistemological encounters and didactic consequences. LÄS MER
19. Assessing the effects of societal injury control interventions
Sammanfattning : Injuries have emerged as one of the biggest public health issues of the 21th century. Yet, the causal effects of injury control strategies are often questioned due to a lack of randomized experiments. LÄS MER
20. Teachers' Retention in Tanzanian Remote Secondary Schools : Exploring Perceived Challenges and Support
Sammanfattning : Teacher retention is a global challenge, and many developed and developing countries are struggling to staff and retain teachers in schools, particularly in low-performing, remote, and less desirable areas. In most of these countries, Tanzania in particular, the efficacy of fiscally inclined teachers’ retention strategies continues to be dubious. LÄS MER
