  1. 1. Imaging surface plasmon resonance

    Författare :Olof Andersson; Bo Liedberg; Fredrik Björefors; Thomas Ederth; Jiří Homola; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The central theme of this thesis is the use of imaging Surface Plasmon Resonance (iSPR) as a tool in the characterization of surfaces with laterally varying properties. Within the scope of this work, an instrument for iSPR analysis was designed and built. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Miniaturized localized surface plasmon resonance biosensors

    Författare :Si Chen; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :colloidal lithography; Surface plasmon resonance; biosensing; electron beam lithography; single molecule; hyperspectral imaging; photo functionalization;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Reliable and sensitive biosensors are required for fast and accurate diagnostics. Localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs) in noble-metal nanoparticles possess very high refractive index sensitivity close to the metal surface and therefore constitute an attractive biosensing platform. 3. 3. Photochemical Surface Functionalization : Synthesis, Nanochemistry and Glycobiological Studies

    Författare :Lingquan Deng; Olof Ramström; Javier Rojo; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Carbohydrates; Glycobiology; Carbohydrate-protein interactions; Perfluorophenylazide PFPA ; Photochemistry; Carbohydrate surface immobilization; Carbohydrate microarrays; Surface plasmon resonance SPR ; Quartz crystal microbalance QCM ; Atomic force microscopy AFM ; Glyconanomaterials; Concanavalin A Con A ; Cyanovirin-N CV-N ; 1-Glycosyl thiols; Mutarotation; 1-S-glycosylation; Stereocontrol;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis mainly deals with the development of photochemical approaches to immobilize carbohydrates on surfaces for glycobiological studies. These approaches have been incorporated into a number of state-of-the-art nanobio-platforms, including carbohydrate microarrays, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), quartz crystal microbalance (QCM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and glyconanomaterials. 4. 4. Macromolecules at Interfaces

    Författare :Helén Larsericsdotter; Sven Oscarsson; Jos Buijs; Willem Norde; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Chemistry; Protein; Adsorption; Immobilization; Surface; Surface Plasmon Resonance; SPR; Mass Spectrometry; MS; Differential Scanning Calorimetry; DSC; FT ICR; Lysozyme; Bovine Serum Albumin; BSA; Myoglobin; Globular; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the structure and stability of globular proteins adsorbed onto nanometer-sized hydrophilic silica particles were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), hydrogen/deuterium exchange (HDX), and mass spectrometry (MS). The adsorption process itself was characterized with fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy and surface plasmon resonance (SPR). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Towards specific quantification of exosomes using surface-based sensing

    Författare :Deborah Rupert; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; label-free; surface plasmon resonance.; exosome; binding rate; antibody; concentration; nanoparticle tracking analysis; quantification; liposome; cluster of differentiation 63 CD63 ; diffusion; specific detection; mass transport limited conditions; extracellular vesicles; surface-based biosensor;

    Sammanfattning : When exosomes were first observed in 1967, they were believed to be cell debris until extensive studies demonstrated key biological functionalities related to their composition and formation mechanism. Exosomes are nanometer-sized lipid vesicles of endocytic origin, with a membrane consisting of lipids and proteins and encapsulating a cargo composed of soluble proteins and genetic material. LÄS MER
