  1. 6. Energy Usage in Supermarkets - Modelling and Field Measurements

    Författare :Jaime Arias; Per Lundqvist; Denis Clodic; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Supermarket; Energy Performance; System Analysis; Modelling; Simulation; Field Measurements; Refrigeration Systems; Indirect Systems; Heat Recovery; Floating Condensing; TEWI; LCC.; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates a special type of energy system, namely energy use in supermarkets through modelling, simulations and field studies. A user-friendly computer program, CyberMart, which calculates the total energy performance of a supermarket, is presented. LÄS MER

  2. 7. New refrigerants for vapour compression refrigeration and heat pump systems : evaluation in a context of the requirements set by the F-gas Regulation and the Paris Agreement goals

    Författare :Pavel Makhnatch; Rahmatollah Khodabandeh; Angelo Maiorino; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; refrigerant; retrofit; drop-in; HFC; HFO; F-gas Regulation; Kigali Amendment; Montreal protocol; Life cycle climate performance; LCCP; climate change; Energiteknik; Energy Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Given the global commitment to reduce the impact of fluorinated gases on climate and the regulations controlling their use in the European Union (EU), this thesis investigates new refrigerants that have been recently proposed to meet the demands of the refrigeration industry in the EU, which must satisfy the legislative requirements of the F-gas Regulation and facilitate meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement.The legislative requirements of the EU have intensified refrigerant development with reduced GWP. 3. 8. Energy in supermarkets - An overview on the energy flows and refrigeration controls

    Författare :Tommie Månsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The electrical energy used by supermarkets represents approximately 3% of Sweden's annual energy use. Of this, the refrigeration system accounts for 50%. To reduce greenhouse gases introduced by energy generation, a larger share of renewable energy sources must be implemented. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Thermophysical Properties of Aqueous Solutions Used as Secondary Working Fluids

    Författare :Åke Melinder; Björn Palm; Antero Aittomäki; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Secondary working fluids; secondary refrigerants; indirect systems; aqueous solutions; ice slurry; thermophysical properties; freezing point; density; viscosity; specific heat; thermal conductivity; Mechanical and thermal engineering; Mekanisk och termisk energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Secondary working fluids (secondary refrigerants, heat transfer fluids, antifreezes, brines) have long been used in various indirect re-frigeration and heat pump systems. Aqueous solutions (water solu-tions) have long been used as single phase (liquid only) secondary working fluids for cooling in supermarkets, ice rinks, heat recovery systems, heat pumps and other applications. 5. 10. Exploring barriers to energy efficiency in supermarkets

    Författare :Ulla Lindberg; MariAnne Karlsson; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :retail; servicescape; foodscape; chilled groceries; energy efficiency; barriers; refrigerated display cabinets; consumer behaviors; consumer perceptions; Resource Recovery; Resursåtervinning;

    Sammanfattning : Energy efficiency activities in sections of grocery stores for chilled groceries are subject to particular challenges as this is a complex indoor environment given that the goal of store owners is to offer consumers chilled groceries of high quality in a comfortable environment while at the same time trying to reduce energy use. Consequently, it is important to maintain the right temperature in the right place and to be aware of the consumers’ shopping situation. LÄS MER
