  1. 1. Carbon Dioxide in Supermarket Refrigeration

    Författare :Samer Sawalha; Björn Palm; Eckhard Groll; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CO2; carbon dioxide; refrigeration system; supermarket; cascade; indirect; trans-critical; modelling; simulation; experiment; safety analysis; comparison; Mechanical energy engineering; Mekanisk energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis theoretically and experimentally investigates different aspects of the application of CO2 in supermarket refrigeration. Theoretical analysis has been performed using computer simulation models developed to simulate CO2 indirect, NH3/CO2 cascade, CO2 trans-critical and direct expansion (DX) R404A systems. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Supermarket refrigeration systems for demand response in smart grids

    Författare :Tommie Månsson; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Supermarket; Demand-side management; Smart-Grid; Energy efficiency; Food retail; Demandresponse; Thermal modelling; Refrigerated Display Cabinet; Renewable energy;

    Sammanfattning : With an increasing share of intermittent renewable energy sources in the electrical grid, the need for adapting the demand to the available supply of electricity becomes increasingly important. Within this thesis, the demand response capacity by supermarket refrigeration systems are investigated and methods for enabling it is developed. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Indoor thermal environment in Supermarkets : A study of measured and perceived comfort parameters

    Författare :Ulla Lindberg; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; thermal environment; supermarket; interdisciplinary; display cabinets; refrigeration systems; thermal comfort;

    Sammanfattning : In the supermarket environment three different groups must be considered: food (food quality), personnel (working conditions) and customers. Customers are of particular interest since they make up the commercial basis for the supermarket. Currently, however, there are no recommendations on the indoor environment for this category. LÄS MER
