  1. 1. Identification of molecular markers associated with fungal resistance in Norway spruce and common ash

    Författare :Rajiv Chaudhary; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Trees are giants of the forests, possessing nutrient-rich tissues that make them natural targets for pathogens. In Europe, the fungal pathogens Heterobasidion annosum s.l. and Hymenoscyphus fraxineus are associated with Norway spruce and common ash, respectively. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The crayfish plague refractory crayfish, Pacifastacus leniusculus, which can harbour the fungal parasite within melanotic sheath, are found to constitutively express the gene encoding for prophenoloxidase (proPO) after mimicking parasite attack. In contrast, the susceptible crayfish, Astacus astacus, responds to the parasite by increased levels of proPO transcript, particularly in the semigranular haemocytes. LÄS MER
