  1. 1. Correlations in multiparticle production

    Författare :Markus Ringnér; [1998]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; String fragmentation; QCD; Correlations; Colour interference; Bose-Einstein interference; quantum mechanics; classical mechanics; Mathematical and general theoretical physics; relativity; gravitation; statistical physics; Matematisk och allmän teoretisk fysik; High energy interactions; thermodynamics; kvantmekanik; klassisk mekanik; termodynamik; cosmic rays; Kosmisk strålning; högenergi; statistisk fysik; relativitet; Fysicumarkivet A:1998:Ringnér;

    Sammanfattning : Different aspects of the strong interaction in particle collisions are studied. Most of the work is based on the Lund string fragmentation model for hadron production. A model which incorporates interference between identical bosons in the string model is presented. LÄS MER

  2. 2. QCD Phenomenology of Heavy Particle Dynamics

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Theoretical Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Emanuel Norrbin; [2000]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; High energy interactions; heavy quarks; QCD; charm asymmetry; hadronization; string fragmentation; colour reconnection; leptoquarks; parton shower; cosmic rays; Kosmisk strålning; högenergi; Fysicumarkivet A:2000:Norrbin;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis the phenomenology of Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD) is studied in a variety of circumstances from both perturbative and non-perturbative perspectives. The main emphasis is on the production and hadronization of heavy particles, specifically heavy quarks, gauge bosons, leptoquarks and supersymmetric particles. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Multiparticle Production in Strong Interactions

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Theoretical Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Fredrik Söderberg; [2003]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hadronisation; QCD; Bose-Einstein correlations; Elementary particle physics; Elementarpartikelfysik; quantum field theory; String fragmentation; kvantfältteori; Fysicumarkivet A:2003:Söderberg;

    Sammanfattning : An alternative formulation of the Lund fragmentation model for string states without gluons is presented. It is shown that the fragmentation process can be factorised into a product of transition operators with well-defined eigenfunctions and corresponding eigenvalues. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Hadronization Effects in the Strong Interaction

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Theoretical Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Patrik Edén; [1998]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; statistical physics; gravitation; relativity; Mathematical and general theoretical physics; classical mechanics; quantum mechanics; string fragmentation; baryon production; jets; QCD; hadronization; thermodynamics; Matematisk och allmän teoretisk fysik; klassisk mekanik; kvantmekanik; relativitet; statistisk fysik; termodynamik; High energy interactions; cosmic rays; Kosmisk strålning; högenergi;

    Sammanfattning : Different hadronization effects in high energy interactions are investigated. The frame-work is the Lund model for the strong interaction. A model for baryon production in jet fragmentation is presented and extended to baryon remnant fragmentation in deep inelastic scattering and hadron--hadron collisions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Colour Reconnection and Weak Showers

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Astronomy and Theoretical Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Jesper Roy Christiansen; [2015]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Merging; Weak interactions; Parton Showers; Event generators; hadron collisions; Colour Reconnection; Fragmentation; Fysicumarkivet A:2015:Christiansen;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis consider the improvement of the simulation tools used to describe high energy particle collisions. These simulation programs are normally referred to as event generators. LÄS MER
