1. Towards flexible organic electronics : photoelectron spectroscopy of surfaces and interfaces
Sammanfattning : Intensive studies of conjugated molecules and polymers are carried out all over the world with the intent of obtaining cheap and efficient organic electronic devices. The most mature application at the moment is the light-emitting diode, but also photovoltaic cells and different types of transistors shows promising results. LÄS MER
2. XPS studies of an organic anode and hole-conductor system : PEDOT-PSS
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with photoelectron spectroscopy of conducting polymer systems. A particular system, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrenesulfonic acid (PEDOT-PSS), has been the main focus of this work. It is an aqueous colloidal dispersion consisting of doped conjugated polymer PEDOT with counter ions provided by the PSS chains. LÄS MER
3. A Beef with Meat : Media and Audience Framings of Environmentally Unsustainable Production and Consumption
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to identify potential routes of participation in environmentally sustainable changes of the Swedish meat production and consumption. Changes are needed as meat production and consumption have been linked to serious environmental problems, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and land use change. LÄS MER
4. Auditory and Olfactory Abilities in Blind and Sighted Individuals : More Similarities than Differences
Sammanfattning : Blind individuals face various challenges in everyday life because of the lack of visual input. However, since they need to rely on the non-visual senses for everyday tasks, for instance, when navigating the environment, the question has been raised as to whether perceptual and cognitive abilities in these senses may be enhanced. 5. Materiella vändningar : läsningar av Parland, Lispector, Berg och Byggmästar
Sammanfattning : The aim of the dissertation is to examine the analytical potential of the ”material turn” within the field of literary studies. In particular, it explores how theoretical perspectives associated with the material turn may shed light on the work of four writers: Henry Parland (Finland, 1908–1930), Clarice Lispector (Brazil, 1920–1977), Aase Berg (Sweden, b.
