    Sammanfattning : More than one million people worldwide receive some kind of bone graft each year. Grafts are often needed following bone tumour removal or traumatic fractures to fill voids in the bone and to aid in the healing process. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Ischaemic heart disease - risk assessment, diagnosis, and secondary preventive treatment in primary care : with special reference to the relevance of exercise ECG

    Författare :Gunnar Nilsson; Eva Samuelsson; Thomas Mooe; Per Wändell; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Exercise ECG; Ischaemic heart disease; Myocardial infarction; Prehospital delay; Primary care; Prognosis; Referral; Statin; Secondary prevention; Arbets-EKG; hjärtinfarkt; ischemisk hjärtsjukdom; sekundärprevention; Family Medicine; allmänmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Ischaemic heart disease is a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge to most general practitioners. We sought to identify diagnostic characteristics and prognoses of patients in primary care that received exercise electrocardiography (ECG). We compared the ECG test results with respect to probability of subsequent cardiologist referrals. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Non-invasive ultrasound-based cardiovascular imaging in mouse models of atherosclerosis

    Författare :Julia Grönros; Göteborgs universitet; Göteborgs universitet; Gothenburg University; []
    Nyckelord :atherosclerosis; ultrasound-based imaging; cardiovascular disease; coronary artery; mouse; color Doppler echocardiography; ultrasound biomicroscopy; statin;

    Sammanfattning : Atherosclerosis is a chronic multi-factorial vascular disease. It generally requires large clinical settings and over many years to study the disease progression in man. Genetically modified mouse models of atherosclerosis have dramatically increased research feasibility within this area. LÄS MER
