    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Dengue, a viral infection transmitted by Aedes mosquitos, flourishes in urban tropical environments by a complex process. Interactions among susceptible humans, dengue viruses, and Aedes mosquitoes determine dengue transmission patterns, and these interactions are modified by driving factors related to weather, the environment, and human behaviour, including mobility. Given that caste is a culturally sensitive identity and practice of Tamils, the inescapable engagement with the Tamil nation project is investigated here via a case study on Vellalah, the protagonist and hegemonic caste among Tamils.     Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to gain a deeper understanding of relationships and sexuality of women at risk of social exclusion in Sri Lanka and the risk of violations of their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) that they might face. Individual qualitative interviews with migrant women workers (n=18) and men (n=18) in the Free Trade Zone (FTZ), women facing single motherhood (n=28) and women formerly involved in prostitution (n=15) were conducted.
