1. Multiphysical analysis methods to predict the ageing and durability of concrete
Sammanfattning : With the societal demand for sustainability and the increasing age of infrastructure, a crucial task for the civil engineering community is to improve the durability of concrete structures. This thesis aims to contribute to such development through theoretical studies using mathematical modelling and numerical simulations. LÄS MER
2. Modeling pavement performance based on data from the Swedish LTPP database : predicting cracking and rutting
Sammanfattning : The roads in our society are in a state of constant degradation. The reasons for this are many, and therefore constructed to have a certain lifetime before being reconstructed. To minimize the cost of maintaining the important transport road network high quality prediction models are needed. LÄS MER
3. Processability of Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alloy 247LC-Influence of process parameters on microstructure and defects
Sammanfattning : This thesis is about laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) of the nickel-basedsuperalloy Alloy 247LC. Alloy 247LC is mainly used in gas turbine blades and processing the blades with L-PBF may confer performance advantage over the blades manufactured with conventional methods. LÄS MER
4. Aspects of Crack Growth in Single-Crystal Nickel-Base Superalloys
Sammanfattning : This Licentiate of Engineering thesis is a product of the results generated in the research project KME-702, which comprises modelling, microstructure investigations and material testing of cast nickel-base superalloys. The main objective of this work is to model the fatigue crack propagation behaviour in single-crystal nickel-base superalloys. 5. On the deformation behavior and cracking of ductile iron; effect of microstructure
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the effect of microstructural variation on the mechanical properties and deformation behavior of ductile iron. To research and determine these effects, two grades of ductile iron, (i) GJS-500-7 and (ii) high silicon GJS-500-14, were cast in a geometry containing several plates with different section thicknesses in order to produce microstructural variation.
