1. Hole Transport Materials for Solid-State Mesoscopic Solar Cells
Sammanfattning : The solid-state mesoscopic solar cells (sMSCs) have been developed as a promising alternative technology to the conventional photovoltaics. However, the device performance suffers from the low hole-mobilities and the incomplete pore filling of the hole transport materials (HTMs) into the mesoporous electrodes. LÄS MER
2. Electronic Structures and Energy Level Alignment in Mesoscopic Solar Cells : A Hard and Soft X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy Study
Sammanfattning : Photoelectron spectroscopy is an experimental method to study the electronic structure in matter. In this thesis, a combination of soft and hard X-ray based photoelectron spectroscopy has been used to obtain atomic level understanding of electronic structures and energy level alignments in mesoscopic solar cells. 3. Functional Materials for Perovskite Solar Cells
Sammanfattning : Energy plays a significant role in our daily lives, but most energy provided by fossil fuels causes serious environmental problems including air pollution, global warming, and ecological damage. In addition, it has been estimated that all of our fossil fuels will run out in 2088 and thus it is highly important to study and apply renewable energy sources. LÄS MER
4. Novel organic sensitizers and hole transport materials for efficient solid-state photovoltaic devices
Sammanfattning : State-of-art solid-state photovoltaic devices, such as solid-state dye sensitized solar cells (ssDSSCs) and perovskite solar cells have attracted significant attention due to their high efficiency and potential low-cost manufacture. However, there are still challenges that limit the application up-scaling.. LÄS MER
5. Advanced Organic Hole Transport Materials for Solution-Processed Photovoltaic Devices
Sammanfattning : Solution-processable photovoltaic devices (PVs), such as perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells (sDSCs) show great potential to replace the conventional silicon-based solar cells for achieving low-cost and large-area solar electrical energy generation in the near future, due to their easy manufacture and high efficiency. Organic hole transport materials (HTMs) play important roles in both PSCs and sDSCs, and thereby can well facilitate the hole separation and transportation, for obtaining high performance solar cells.
