    Sammanfattning : Abstract In this thesis, the high temperature superconductors (HTSC) La2CuO4+x and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+d and the colossal magnetoresistive (CMR) La1-xSrxMnO3 have been studied by photoelectron spectroscopy. Techniques such as angular resolved photoemission (ARPES), resonant photoemission spectroscopy (RESPES) and x-ray absorption spectroscopy have been applied, using synchrotron radiation. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Exploring Molecular Interactions : Synthesis and Studies of Clip-Shaped Molecular Hosts

    Författare :Anjaneya Prasad Polavarapu; Helena Grennberg; Adolf Gogoll; Jerker Mårtensson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Organic chemistry; Glycoluril clips; host-guest systems; supramolecular chemistry; complexation induced shifts; conformational restriction; NMR spectroscopy; fullerene binding; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Molecular recognition via noncovalent interactions plays a key role in many biological processes such as antigen-antibody interactions, protein folding, the bonding and catalytic transformation of substrates by enzymes, etc. Amongst these noncovalent interactions, electrostatic interactions, hydrogen bonding, π-π interactions, and metal-to-ligand bonding are the most prominent. 3. 8. Continuous-filtering Vernier spectroscopy

    Författare :Chuang Lu; Aleksandra Foltynowicz; Ove Axner; Wei Ren; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; spectroscopy; spectrometer; laser; optical frequency comb; optical cavity; NIR; MIR; flame; robust; time resolution; spectrum; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Continuous-filtering Vernier spectroscopy (CF-VS) is a laser-based detection technique that combines the broad spectral coverage of an optical frequency comb (OFC) with the enhanced interaction length provided by an optical cavity. The resonances of the cavity filter the OFC to a small group of comb modes that probe the transitions of the species present in the cavity. LÄS MER
