Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to show what values affect visions expressed in architectural competitions about housing and town planning in Swedish cities between 1989 and 2003. Four questions have guided the study: the changes that take place in the competition process; the social and spatial components and relations future neighborhood are put together of; the qualities that architectural competitions take into account; and the kind of urbanity the competitions lead to if the proposals are realised. Sammanfattning : In this dissertation Transformation, as understood in South Africa, is investigated in the ‘Natal Museum’ and the ‘Msunduzi Museum Incorporating the Voortrekker Complex’ in terms of socio-political structures, the museum as a place, its collections and displays. I have emphasised the ethnographical perspective and analysed it by using key concepts such as new museology, time, space and place. LÄS MER

Tourist behaviour on-site is not only dependent on the destination itself, but also on the situation in other places, tourists’ spatial mobility and access to information.
