  1. 1. Converging Creativity : Intertwining Music and Code

    Författare :Claudio Panariello; Roberto Bresin; Kjetil Falkenberg; Iolanda Leite; John Bowers; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Sound and Music Computing; Music Composition; Media Technology; Medieteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This compilation thesis is a collection of case studies that presents examples of creative coding in various contexts, focusing on how such practice led to the creation and exploration of musical expressions, and how I in- interact with the design of the code itself. My own experience as a music composer influences this thesis work. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Diverse Sounds : Enabling Inclusive Sonic Interaction

    Författare :Emma Frid; Roberto Bresin; Andrew McPherson; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : This compilation thesis collects a series of publications on designing sonic interactions for diversity and inclusion. The presented papers focus on case studies in which musical interfaces were either developed or reviewed. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Interactive sonification of motion : Design, implementation and control of expressive auditory feedback with mobile devices

    Författare :Gaël Dubus; Roberto Bresin; Paul Vickers; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Speech and Music Communication; Tal- och musikkommunikation;

    Sammanfattning : Sound and motion are intrinsically related, by their physical nature and through the link between auditory perception and motor control. If sound provides information about the characteristics of a movement, a movement can also be influenced or triggered by a sound pattern. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Playing with Context : Explicit and Implicit Interaction in Mobile Media Applications

    Författare :Maria Håkansson; Lars Erik Holmquist; Oskar Juhlin; Eric Paulos; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :context; human-computer interaction; interaction design; mobile media; play; ubiquitous computing; Man-Machine-Interaction MMI ; människa-maskin-interaktion mmi ;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis contributes with insights into how aspects of the surrounding physical and social context can be exploited in the design of mobile media applications for playful use. In this work, context refers to aspects of the immediate surroundings – outside of the device – that can be identified and measured by sensors; for instance environmental aspects like sound, and social aspects like co-located people.
