21. Solvent Extraction Studies with Substituted Malonamides and Oligopyridines Influence of Structure and Chemical Properties on the Extraction Ability of Trivalent Actinides and Lanthanides
Sammanfattning : Separation and transmutation of spent nuclear fuel has been considered as a complement to direct disposal in a deep geological repository. The time needed for the waste to decay to natural background levels can be drastically decreased if the long-lived radionuclides, mainly the actinides, in the spent nuclear fuel are separated and transmuted to short-lived or stable nuclides. 22. Effect of fruit flavors on anaerobic digestion : inhibitions and solutions
Sammanfattning : Fruits are among the most important commodities in global trading due to its fundamental nutritional values. In 2012, the fruits supply was 115 kg/person/year, however, only 50 % of the fruits reached their consumers and the rest ended up as waste during the long fruit supply chain. LÄS MER

24. Mechanistic Studies on Ruthenium-Catalyzed Hydrogen Transfer Reactions
Sammanfattning : Mechanistic studies on three different ruthenium-based catalysts have been performed. The catalysts have in common that they have been employed in hydrogen transfer reactions involving alcohols and ketones, amines and imines or both. LÄS MER
25. LIGNIN DEPOLYMERISATION IN NEAR- CRITICAL WATER TO PRODUCE BIOFUEL AND CHEMICALS: EFFECT OF CO-SOLVENT AND pH
Sammanfattning : Lignin is a complex three-dimensional amorphous polymer, which, along with cellulose and hemicellulose, forms a main component of biomass. Its main role is in giving strength, rigidity and resistance to degradation. From a chemistry perspective, lignin is an important source of aromatics. LÄS MER
