1. Energy Efficient Window Systems. Effects on Energy Use and Daylight in Buildings
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with energy-efficient windows in Swedish buildings. Parametric studies were performed in the dynamic energy simulation tool Derob-LTH in order to study the effects of window choices on energy use and indoor climate for both residential and office buildings. 2. System analysis of a PV/T hybrid solar window
Sammanfattning : A building-integrated multifunctional PV/T solar window was suggested and developed by Andreas Fieber. The solar window is constructed of PV cells laminated on solar absorbers placed in a window behind the glazing. LÄS MER
3. Heat Flow in Building Components, Experiment and Analysis
Sammanfattning : Three building components exposed to natural climate were studied: a dynamic insulation in the ceiling of a house, an outer wall and one window in the same wall. The term dynamic insulation implies that part of the inlet or exhaust air passes through the insulation of a house. LÄS MER
4. Cooling Demand and Daylight in Commercial Buildings The Influence of Window Design
Sammanfattning : The modern design of office buildings shows a tendency to increase the window share per facade to be more impressive with grand visibility and well daylit rooms. An increased window share results in general in increased use of energy and costs for cooling, but these disadvantages can be reduced considering a more careful design. LÄS MER
5. Window Layer Structures for Chalcopyrite Thin-Film Solar Cells
Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to contribute to the development of improved window layer structures for chalcopyrite thin-film solar cells, with an emphasis on the buffer layer, to assist future reductions of the levelized cost of energy. This is realized by exploring the potential of existing materials and deposition processes, as well as developing new buffer layer processes based on atomic layer deposition (ALD). LÄS MER
