  1. 1. Hydropower generator and power system interaction

    Författare :Johan Bladh; Urban Lundin; Rafael Escarela-Perez; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Amortisseur windings; applied voltage test; automatic voltage regulators; damper windings; damping torque; empirical modelling; equivalent circuits; excitation control; finite element method; hydropower generators; power system restoration; power system stability; synchronous machines; self excitation; shaft torque amplification; short circuit test; single machine infinite bus; slip test; standstill frequency response test; subsynchronous oscillations; synchronising torque; synchronous generators; torsional interaction.; Engineering Science with specialization in Science of Electricity; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektricitetslära;

    Sammanfattning : After decades of routine operation, the hydropower industry faces new challenges. Large-scale integration of other renewable sources of generation in the power system accentuates the role of hydropower as a regulating resource. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Uncertainties in Neural Networks : A System Identification Approach

    Författare :Magnus Malmström; Fredrik Gustafsson; Isaac Skog; Daniel Axehill; Håkan Hjalmarsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; neural networks; uncertainty; system identification;

    Sammanfattning : In science, technology, and engineering, creating models of the environment to predict future events has always been a key component. The models could be everything from how the friction of a tire depends on the wheels slip  to how a pathogen is spread throughout society. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Externally unbonded post-tensioned CFRP tendons : a system solution

    Författare :Anders Bennitz; Chris Burgoyne; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CFRP; prestress; tendon; external; unbonded; anchorage; beams; CFRP; förspänning; vajer; utanpåliggande; icke vidhäftande; förankring; Structural Engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The introduction of Fibre Reinforced Polymers (FRP) to the civil engineering market in the late 1980s resulted in the emergence of a range of new tools for rehabilitating and strengthening concrete structures. Strengthening using FRPs is typically accomplished using non-prestressed externally bonded FRPs. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Dynamiskt belastade tribologiska system under plastisk formning, del II --- analyserade genom akustisk emission

    Författare :Thomas Skåre; Industriell Produktion; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; vibration and acoustic engineering; vacuum technology; hydraulics; Mechanical engineering; supervision; wear; waves; vibrations; tribology; surfaces; stick-slip; sliding; sheet metal; quality check; plastic forming; monitoring; galling; machining; deep drawing; friction; cracking; contact surfaces; Acoustic emission AE ; contact pressure; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik; Material technology; Materiallära; materialteknik; Production technology; Produktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The dynamic friction process and contact surface between tool and working material in a plastic forming process is hard to describe in mathematical form and hard to monitor and control in real time. High production speed and highly optimised forming operations result in great demands on the control equipment. LÄS MER

  5. 5. To grip and not to slip : sensorimotor mechanisms in reactive control of grasp stability

    Författare :Charlotte Häger Ross; Roland S. Johansson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; human; hand; precision grip; grasp force; friction; cutaneous mechanoreceptors; sensorimotor integration; motor control;

    Sammanfattning : The reactive control of fingertip forces maintaining grasp stability was examined in man during a prehensile task. Blindfolded subjects used the precision grip between the tips of index finger and thumb to restrain an object that was subjected to unpredictable load forces. These were delivered tangential to the parallel grip surfaces of the object. LÄS MER
