1. Cold feet in children with neurological disorders
Sammanfattning : These studies focused on presence of cold feet in children with neurological disorders and raised the questions: Does acupuncture affect skin temperature? Are cold feet a general symptom in children with neurological disorders? Are cold feet associated with other symptoms? What are the moods, health, and daily life experiences of these children’s parents? Study I assessed effects of acupuncture on skin temperature in children with neurological disorders. The study was of pilot character, to determine if further investigation in a larger, well-characterised group could be worthwhile. LÄS MER

4. Lean, mean sleep machine? : Effects and experiences of a sleep robot intervention for adults with insomnia
Sammanfattning : Many adults suffer from insomnia disorder, struggling to fall asleep, stay asleep, or with early morning awakenings. Hyperarousal is an important predisposing, precipitating and perpetuating factor to insomnia. Anxiety, depression and ADHD are common comorbid disorders, with shared cognitive, behavioral, genetic, and neurological features. LÄS MER
5. Mental health and physical activity in adolescence
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to examine the association between physical activity and mental health among Norwegian adolescents.The thesis includes four studies among adolescents in grade 10, aged 15-16 years.
