    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to increase knowledge about sloyd education in compulsory school for students with intellectual disability (CSID). The thesis is based in critical-constructive didactic theory and takes an interest in how sloyd education can create conditions for students to acquire Bildung, in terms of self-determination, co-determination and solidarity.     Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study was to illuminate and question the school subject Sloyd from the perspective of the former pupils, now adult persons The empirical investigations cover interviews with subject teachers and adult, focusing their memories of the Sloyd subject in the compulsory school. The analysis shows that the impression of the qualities of the subject is connected to the pupil's personal and bodily experience of the work process in textile, wood or metal material. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The thesis deals with questions of how the purpose and content in the Swedish school subject Sloyd can be understood in the present, some years after a new curriculum came into effect in 2011. Through sloyd teachers’ stories of their knowledge and the historical traces that have left a mark on their teaching, such as older syllabuses and mediated experiences, the intention is to examine the pedagogical thinking that forms the classroom’s activities.
