  1. 1. Antiarrhythmic and arrhythmic effects of an Ikr-blocking class III agent. A clinical and electrocardiographic study of almokalant

    Detta är en avhandling från Göteborg

    Författare :Birgitta Houltz; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2000]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Almokalant; class III antiarrhythmic agent; potassium channel blocker; atrial fibrillation; sinus rhythm; conversion; electrocardiographic; QT interval prolongation; T wave morphology; prediction; torsades de pointes; proarrhythmia; QT dispersion; ventric;

    Sammanfattning : The interest in class III drugs has increased over the last decades as being potent antiarrhythmic agents in their mode of action by prolongation of repolarization and with no effect on conduction. Class I antiarrhythmic agents have proven effective in conversion of atrial fibrillation (AF), but may cause serious proarrhythmia. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Atrial Conduction and P-wave Characteristics: From histology to electrophysiology

    Detta är en avhandling från Cardiology, Dept of Clinical Science, Lund, Lund University

    Författare :Yan Huo; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Atrial fibrillation; Sinus rhythm; Histology; Electrophysiology; Human; P-wave Morphology; Variability of P-wave morphology; P-wave duration;

    Sammanfattning : P-wave morphology reflects the projection of the depolarization vector on the electrocardiogram (ECG)lead axes in three-dimentional space and reflects both right and left atrial activation. The main purpose of current thesis was to explore the internal logic between the atrial conduction properties, including intra- and inter- atrial conduction, and P-wave characteristics from the level of histology to electrophysiology. 4. 4. Phase Transitions in Large Oscillator Lattices

    Detta är en avhandling från Norbergsgatan 5A, 223 54 Lund

    Författare :Per Östborn; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2003]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Matematisk och allmän teoretisk fysik; thermodynamics; statistical physics; phase transition; limit cycle oscillator; frequency entrainment; synchronization; sinus node; classical mechanics; Mathematical and general theoretical physics; arrhythmia; gravitation; quantum mechanics; relativity; klassisk mekanik; kvantmekanik; relativitet; statistisk fysik; termodynamik; Fysicumarkivet A:2003:Östborn;

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Denna avhandling handlar om stora nätverk av oscillatorer. En oscillator är ett system som beter sig periodiskt. Speciellt handlar avhandlingen om oscillatorer som har ett typiskt beteende. En egenskap som varje sådan oscillator har är den naturliga frekvens med vilken beteendet upprepas. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Surgical ablation for the treatment of atrial fibrillation in different patient populations A study of clinical outcomes including rhythm, quality of life, atrial function and safety

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Louise Bagge; Uppsala universitet.; [2018]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Atrial fibrillation; surgical ablation; quality of life; vagal denervation; ganglionated plexi; left atrial function; epicardial; minimally invasive; left atrial ablation; Cardiology; Kardiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) have markedly reduced quality of life (QoL) and catheter ablation has become a useful tool in the rhythm control therapy. However, because of the poor outcome for patients with persistent AF, new surgical ablation strategies for rhythm control are emerging. LÄS MER
