    Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates the directorial changes brought about in Vintersagan, Ingmar Bergman's 1994 production of William Shakespeare's late play The Winter's Tale (1610-11) at Dramaten in Stockholm, and put forth a contribution to a more nuanced understanding of Bergman as a theatre director.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines appropriations of five of Shakespeare’s tragedies (King Lear, Macbeth, Othello, Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet), written for the stage between 1979 and 2010 and set in Shakespeare’s playworlds. The aim of the study is to investigate how these appropriations are used as a strategy for discussing issues that are central both to Shakespeare’s plays and to the present gender-political climate, with particular focus on the depiction of women and familial relationships.     Sammanfattning : The subject of this thematic and narrative-technical study is the Swedish author Carl Jonas Love Almqvist's (1793-1866) slottskrönika (castle chronicle) and the indirect way of writing. The castle chronicle comprises the novels Jaktslottet (The Hunting Castle; 1833), Hinden (The Hind; 1833) and Baron Julius K* (1835), all of which are included in Almqvist's great collective work, Törnrosens bok (The Briar-rose Book).
