2. Svenska för invandrarskap? : Språk, kategorisering och identitet inom utbildningsformen Svenska för invandrare
Sammanfattning : The overall purpose of this thesis and the four independent studies it builds upon is to examine how categorizations and identity positions are constructed and negotiated in the educational program Swedish for immigrants (SFI) both historically and among participants in the program at the beginning of the 21th century. The analytical focus is on the discourses that frame the development of the SFI program with a specific interest in categorizations and identity in relation to gender, language and national belonging. Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this work is to explore and problematize adult second language students’ opportunities for interaction and language learning at work placements. 4. Vuxeneleven i fokus : Att utforma metoder för individanpassad undervisning i en forskningscirkel vid Komvux
Sammanfattning : Denna studie tillhör deltagarorienterad forskning (PAR) i form av en forskningscirkel. Syftet var att beskriva och analysera en forskningscirkels kunskapsutveckling både gällande dess process och dess innehåll. 5. Being and Becoming a Teacher in Initial Literacy and Second Language Education for Adults
Sammanfattning : The aim of the thesis is to explore what being and becoming a teacher of Literacy Education and Second Language Learning for Adults (LESLLA) mean. The study, which applies situated learning theory combined with some Bourdieuan concepts as thinking tools, seeks to depict how the professional identity of LESLLA teachers can be understood from their memberships in different communities of practice.
