1. Sequential convergence for functions and operators
Sammanfattning : The mathematical discipline homogenization theory is closely related to convergence issues. In this thesis different types of convergence are studied and put in relation to each other. We consider the classical concepts of G- and H-convergence and compensated compactness. LÄS MER
2. När man talar om trollen : Personreferens i svenskt samtalsspråk
Sammanfattning : The thesis investigates reference to non-present, singular persons in Swedish talk-ininteraction. The overall aim of the study is to analyse instances of person reference as parts of their linguistic, sequential and social contexts, and to describe these instances with regard to interactional, formal/structural, and functional aspects. 3. Fatigue Life Prediction in Service - A Statistical Approach
Sammanfattning : This thesis treats the problem of fatigue life prediction. The emphasis is on the development of simplified methods, intended to be used in engineering design and the starting point is the established methods for fatigue prediction in service, namely the Wöhler curve, the Paris´ law and the Palmgren-Miner law of cumulative damage. 4. Varför bildas nya partier? : Om kollektivt handlande och partientreprenörer

Therefore, we can speak of a ?paradox of party-emergence?. Hence, it is puzzling that new parties became increasingly common in representative bodies at the Swedish local level during 1973?2002. 5. Redesign of Alpha Class Glutathione Transferases to Study Their Catalytic Properties
Sammanfattning : A number of active site mutants of human Alpha class glutathione transferase A1-1 (hGST A1-1) were made and characterized to determine the structural determinants for alkenal activity. The choice of mutations was based on primary structure alignments of hGST A1-1 and the Alpha class enzyme with the highest alkenal activity, hGST A4-4, from three different species and crystal structure comparisons between the human enzymes.
