  1. 1. Predictors of Lymph Node Metastasis in Primary Breast Cancer - Risk Models for Tailored Axillary Management

    Författare :Looket Dihge; Lund Kirurgi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Breast Cancer; Axillary lymph node dissection; Sentinel lymph node biopsy; Ultrasonography; Nomogram; Artificial neural network; Gene Expression; Prediction model;

    Sammanfattning : Most patients with breast cancer present with low-risk tumors, node-negative disease, and excellent prognosis. For these patients, routine axillary nodal staging by sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has no therapeutic benefit. For patients with limited sentinel lymph node metastasis, completion axillary nodal dissection is controversial. LÄS MER

  2. 2. DNA adductomics: Method development and integration in biological effect monitoring

    Författare :Giulia Martella; Elena Gorokhova; Hitesh V. Motwani; Brita Sundelin; Gunnar Boysen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; DNA adducts; Nucleic acids; High-resolution mass spectrometry; Data-independent acquisition; Biological effect monitoring; Environmental contaminants; Biomarkers; Amphipods as sentinel species; Environmental Sciences; miljövetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Environmental omics can provide informative biomarkers for identifying pathologies or physiological responses to environmental change. Nucleic acid adductomics, one of the newest omics techniques, is particularly well suited for assessing exposure and effects of environmental contaminants because the technique can capture modifications at the (epi)genome level. 3. 3. From Proteomic Analysis to Biomarker Application - Studies of Carbonyl Reductase in Fish

    Författare :Eva Albertsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Fish; Proteomics; Biomarker; Carbonyl Reductase; AhR agonists; Oxidative stress; Biomonitoring;

    Sammanfattning : Many anthropogenic substances are present in the aquatic environment, but there is limited information on how this combination of chemicals affects exposed wildlife. To assess the impact of chemicals, a biomarker approach is frequently applied in environmental biomonitoring programmes. LÄS MER
