16. Polymer light-emitting electrochemical cells : Utilizing doping for generation of light
Sammanfattning : The current implementation of conjugated polymers (“conducting plastics”) in a wide range of devices promises to bring the vision of a new generation of flexible, efficient and low-cost applications to reality. Plastic lightemitting devices in the form of polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs) are projected to be particularly close to the market in applications such as large area and conformable illumination panels and high-performance thin displays. 17. Graphene Implementation Study in Semiconductor Processing
Sammanfattning : Graphene, with its two-dimensional nature and unique properties, has for over a decade captured enormous interests in both industry and academia. This work tries to answer the question of what would happen to graphene when it is subjected to various processing conditions and how this would affect the graphene functionality. LÄS MER
18. Semiconductor Nanowires: Characterization and surface modification
Sammanfattning : The topic of III-V nanowires is still, after more than two decades, a growing and lively research area. The areas of application are wide and contain such important topics as energy harvesting, cheap and efficient lighting, high efficiency detectors and new types of electronics. III-V materials offer properties superior to the widely used Si. LÄS MER
19. Advanced TCAD Simulations and Characterization of Semiconductor Devices
Sammanfattning : Today, micro- and nano-electronic devices are becoming more complex and advanced as the dimensions are shrinking. It is therefore a very challenging task to develop new device technologies with performance that can be predicted. LÄS MER
20. Chemical Vapour Deposition of Undoped and Oxygen Doped Copper (I) Nitride
Sammanfattning : In science and technology there is a steadily increased demand of new materials and new materials production processes since they create new application areas as well as improved production technology and economy. This thesis includes development and studies of a chemical vapour deposition (CVD) process for growth of thin films of the metastable material copper nitride, Cu3N, which is a semiconductor and decomposes at around 300 oC.
